The Ultimate Guide to Men’s Golf at the 2024 Paris Olympics

The 2024 Paris Olympics are set to showcase a highly competitive men’s golf tournament, featuring 60 of the world’s top golfers from 32 different countries. The tournament will be held at the renowned Le Golf National from August 1-4, 2024. This article covers everything you need to know about the event and highlights the full list of participants.

The men’s golf tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympics will follow a 72-hole stroke-play format. The competition will span four days, with golfers aiming for the top three positions to win gold, silver, and bronze medals. This format has been used since golf was reintroduced to the Olympics in 2016.

Golfers qualified based on the Olympic Golf Rankings (OGR), which is derived from the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR). The top 15 players in the OWGR automatically qualify, with a limit of four players per country. Beyond the top 15, the highest-ranked golfers from countries not already represented by two players were selected until the field of 60 was complete.
